Breakfast and Lunch
The mission of the IPS Foodservice Department is to provide students with nutritious meals they will enjoy at the lowest possible cost to students, parents, and taxpayers.
IPS participates in several USDA Child Nutrition Programs: National School Breakfast Program, National School Lunch Program, Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program and the After School Snack Program. In addition, IPS serves meals during the Break Periods and summer through the USDA’s Seamless Summer Option.
Breakfast and lunch are served each school day at no charge to all IPS students under the USDA’s Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). CEP pertains only to meals and does not extend to textbook assistance and other educational benefits. All IPS students must pay textbook rental fees, unless you have been notified in writing that your child has been approved for textbook assistance for the current school year
How to Apply for Textbook Assistance
Parents who wish to apply for textbook assistance must submit an Application for Educational Benefits. One application per household is required. See the Application and Parent/Instruction letter for information on how to apply. You will be notified IN WRITING when your application is approved or denied. If you do not receive notification within ten days, call 226.4951.
An application must be submitted each school year. Applications are confidential and the information provided will not be shared with others.
Applications for Educational Benefits are available at each IPS school, by calling 226.4951, or on the IPS website at www.myips.org/menus.
This institution is an equal opportunity provider.
