During my tenure as an educator, I have taught in schools throughout the U.S and Germany. After completing my undergraduate degree at the University of Florida, I taught for several years before moving to Baltimore to complete my Masters of Science in Learning and Behavior Disabilities at Johns Hopkins University. After teaching at a Technical High School, I had a great opportunity to work for the Department of Dependent’s Overseas School in Geissen, Germany for several years. After returning to the U.S., I spent the next 15 years moving around the country with my Army husband and daughter, teaching at various schools in Kentucky, Alabama, Florida, and Texas. During that time, I also completed further graduate studies in Special Educational Administration at the University of Texas @ Austin.
My family finally moved to Indianapolis in 2009, and now call Indy our permanent home. I love traveling, going to the theater, being a mom to my teenage daughter, and working with Shortridge High School students, a really impressive group of students.
