An In-Depth Look: Reggio-Inspired

The Reggio-inspired learning model is grounded in the educational philosophy referred to as the “image of the child,” which recognizes that children are capable, creative, and responsible. It uses a workshop-based approach that engages students to communicate and ask questions of one another in partnerships or small groups. Students are also encouraged to choose seating that fits their learning/work style, and to promote flexibility, each school provides tables rather than desks.

Unique to IPS Reggio-inspired schools, we partner with Butler University’s cutting edge education program to promote students’ sense of autonomy as learners.
