IPS Facility Use, Partnership & Reservation

Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS) is proud to welcome our community members and partner organizations to use our school campuses and facilities for your upcoming events.

This page provides helpful information about the services and spaces IPS offers, along with guidance on how to submit a request or inquire about using IPS facilities.

We look forward to opportunities to collaborate with and support organizations that serve our students, families, schools, and the broader Indianapolis community.

Types of Facilities Use:

  • Singular and short-term uses with a duration of no more than seven days such as:
    • One-time community meeting.
    • Evening dance recital.
    • Weekend adult soccer league tournament.
  • Medium-term and recurring uses that exceed a week duration but are not significantly longer than a semester such as:
    • Seasonal youth league sport practices taking place a few hours a week.
    • Monthly neighborhood meetings of a non-profit organization.
    • Temporary weekly use when typical off campus meeting space is unavailable.
  • Long-term and co-location uses reflecting a deep partnership and constituting regular and/or exclusive use of a space:
    • A community partner requests an office space based at a school with whom they have a relationship.
    • A private school requests priority use of a football field and agrees to shared investment in the property maintenance for a period exceeding one season.
    • A mission aligned health organization seeks to open a clinic that serves IPS students and the broader community.

Singular, Short-term, Medium-term, and Recurring Uses may be established through completion of a Facilities Use Form for review by the relevant IPS departments to prevent scheduling conflicts or policy violations.

Long-term and Co-location uses typically require an additional vetting process and the execution of an Memorandum of Understanding or Contract. Please inquire by sending a Let’s Talk! Ticket via the button below.

Next steps:

  • If you wish to engage in Singular, Short-term, Medium-term, and Recurring Uses, please fill out this downloadable application and send it to Erika Kaiser-Powell powelle@myips.org by email.
