Capes for Kids

On Feb. 7, former Indiana Pacers players Lasalle Thompson, Rik Smits and Darnell Hillman visited second-graders at Elder W. Diggs School 42 to deliver a special message: “Dream Big!”

The visit was part of the Capes for Kids Program through Pacers Cares.

During the event, Thompson spoke to students about the importance of focusing on their dreams and working hard to achieve their goals. The former players, a couple of Pacemates and volunteers from Honda Manufacturing of Indiana also assisted the students in creating their own personalized superhero capes.

By empowering the second graders, Pacers Cares hopes the students will become their own heroes.
